Groups

Play Chefs is happy to arrange cooking activities for groups such as Rainbows, Beavers, Brownies, Guides and Scouts, as well as nurseries and mothers and toddler groups. From cookery, confectionary or healthy eating badges to seasonal or special theme workshops, we can create a group meeting with a difference. What’s more we will take care of everything, so the leaders can join in the fun too.

Schools 

Play Chefs provides specialist support to primary schools who are looking for help in developing and delivering fun, informative and exciting hands-on cooking activities for pupils of all ages. 

Cooking is a rewarding learning experience which can be applied across many areas of the curriculum. Elements of numeracy, design and technology, science, literacy, history and geography can be incorporated into each activity. Alternatively, cookery classes can be developed to support specific topics or to promote food awareness and healthy eating, and encourage children to taste and experience new foods.

Cookery sessions, either one off events or short courses spanning several weeks, can also be created for After School Clubs or to add a new dimension to fundraising activities.

You will find us full of ideas and enthusiasm, ready to inspire pupils to learn new skills and become more interested in, and knowledgeable about, the food they eat. What’s more, whatever the event, we provide all the ingredients, equipment and even take care of the washing up afterwards. We appreciate that each school has very different requirements, so we are flexible and work with you to develop events and activities which meet your needs and budgets.
